Grafitron is the electronics sub-brand of Grafito Innovations ↗, a Kerala-based robotics company building India's first fully automated vegetable grafting robot. To build reliable robots, we had to build reliable electronics, so we designed our own.
CANStepper began as the motion controller for the robot's axes: one closed-loop board per motor, all tied together on a single CAN bus. The IoT Controlled Humidifier (Mist Generator) came from the nursery side, keeping humidity right for young and freshly grafted seedlings. Both run in humid, dusty conditions, under continuous load and long duty hours.
Today we offer the same hardware, plus custom board design, to makers, students, research labs, startups and OEMs, shipped worldwide from Kerala. Our work spans schematic design, PCB layout, firmware and field validation on real machines.
Grafito Innovations was founded in 2023 and is supported by Maker Village Kochi and DST Nidhi, with earlier support from NIT Calicut and Cisco thingQbator.
